Hi Janet,

I noticed that freya hasnt been her usual "bouncy" self for a few days prior to her bleeding, she was also very clingy as well (more than usual)! She is never from my side!!

She also has very prominent swelling of "her lady bits"!!!!! She looks like she is feeling so sorry for herself, bless her. So she is recieving lots of tlc and extra cuddles!!!

Hope all is well, take care

Thanks Stacey,
I'll keep an eye on maizy, there's no signs of swelling yet, i'm just hoping she's going to hang on for another month as we are going camping mid august and i can just evisage our tent being surrounded by dogs!!! plus its only 2 weeks until we visit Simon and Liz this weekend, so hope she's a late developer.
Its quite "scary" this anticipating the waiting of seasons!!
thanks again, take care, hope freya is feeling better, it must be really strange for them, what about lola? did you have her spayed?
have a nice day, xxx

Hi Janet,

Ahhh poor maizy, freya is still bleeding, gradually gettin worse day by day the poor little thing!! We havent taken her for walks, just let her run riot in the garden (which now looks like a bomb has hit it!) She is not allowed to play in the garden unsupervised though, im like a burly bouncer at her side!!

Im sure freya would be glad she isnt the only one under "house arrest"!!

We got lola spayed as she is not full pedigree, we have noticed a shift in whos boss in them since freya came into heat, with freya know rooling the roost!!

Will you be getting maizy done or was you thinking from breeding from her?? Hope maizy isnt lookin as sorry for herself as freta is at the minute!
Take care, stacey.x

Morning Stacey,
firstly i spoke to simon and have we've decided to give the visit on the 15th a miss, i'm dissapointed but its for the best as we both agreed that the girls wouldnt be able to run free and after reading your blog you've summed me up to a tee......I m also the burly bouncer!!so can you imagine have us two three pups in heat (as simon reckons Roxy will be following suit)I dodnt know about your husband but i've driven mine to despair and its only her second day!!
I decided to brave a walk this morning but drove to a nature reserve (very deserted thankfully, i went equipped with water spray to fend off admirers and ask it was a long open track eventually built up the courage to let her off and play ball! whew glad to be home safe and sound 26 days to go!!!!!
Actually it was better than i thought, so thats our route for the next month, although we are going camping in three weeks i'll just have cross that bridge when i come to it, i suppose one good thing all dogs must be on a lead at the site!! how stressed do i sound!!! Role on work this afternoon and thank the Lord for lamenate!!!!!!
If i can handle maizys seasons, i not going to get her spayed, we may wish to breed from her but ultimately i just want her to be natural, she would never be let out on her own and with a bouncer like me in toe she should be good.
i know my vet or any vet would disagree and go down the unwanted litters/cancerous conditions, but i had max nuetered and we still lost him at an early age, so at the minute natural is best!!! but hey stacey ask me agin in 26 days time!!
hope freya is feeling ok tell her her sister sends her love!!
we are hoping to visit Simon and Liz maybe early october so i hope you can get over too, it would be lovely to meet you
have a nice weekend, sorry this blog was so so long :)
take care xxxx

Hi janet

How is maizy coping? Freya is still walking around feeling very sorry for herself.
We are having late night walks when its much quieter, but she still has to stay by mums side!!

We are going to get fraya hip scored once she is old enough and go from there, well that was the plan but she is looking that sorry for herself i dont know if i want to let her go through another season!

Look forward to meeting you all in october, hope your all well, take care, stacey.x

Hi Stacey,
maizy's still quite miserable the only time she's happy is when we go to our desterted place for her walks and she gets to search for the ball!
We have made enquires about hip score too, and up to now will get the test after our holidays.
the seasons are quite bizzare are'nt they? she's had lots and lots of what i can only describe as if someone has had several nose bleeds all over the floor! and then from about 7pm tonight there's been nothing!?! oh what joy!!!!
great to keep in tpouch with you, it was a real benefit when you let us know via freya's blog that she was in season, it triggered us to keep an eye out for maizy.
take care stacey, love to freya see you in october xxx
